Derby’s investment in SEND provision moves into next phase

It comes as the council has had an investment of £20m approved in 2024 via the SEND and Alternative Provision Sufficiency and Capital Investment Programme

Derby City Council has put in motion a programme which will deliver 400 additional specialist places in the city’s schools over the next two years, as the council aims to improve and expand educational provision in the city for children and young people with SEND.
