More than 23,000 students worldwide have received results from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme following the November 2025 examination session.A total of 23,392 students were awarded results, an increase of 6.8% compared with the previous November session, marking the completion of their two-year courses of study.

Students who received results now join a global IB alumni community of around 2.7 million learners across 157 countries where the Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) are offered. The global average DP score for the November 2025 session was 29.3 points.

The DP is offered in more than 3,880 IB World Schools worldwide and is designed to prepare students for higher education and further study. The programme follows an inquiry-based curriculum and is aligned with national education systems while maintaining an international framework.

Country alignment studies published in 2023 found that DP courses met or exceeded national standards in countries including France, Spain, Finland, Canada, South Korea, the United States, Singapore and Australia. The studies assessed curriculum breadth, academic depth and compatibility with domestic education systems.

The CP, which combines academic study with career-related learning, continues to expand globally. It is currently offered by 436 IB World Schools in 58 countries and is aimed at students aged 16 to 19 pursuing vocational or professional pathways alongside academic qualifications.

For the November 2025 session, DP and CP candidates completed all required assessment components for their subjects. Grades were awarded based on a combination of coursework and examinations.

Olli-Pekka Heinonen, director general of the International Baccalaureate, said: “These IB graduates have shown remarkable resilience and dedication. As they prepare for higher education, careers, or service to their communities, they can be confident they possess the skills and global perspective that will allow them to thrive.

“We are immensely proud of their efforts and will no doubt take further pride in their future achievements, built on a foundation of compassion, creativity, and critical thinking.”
