Globeducate has welcomed the Clover School, a Toronto-based Montessori provider, as the first Montessori school to join its international education group.
The move expands Globeducate’s Canadian network, which already includes Blyth Academy and Toronto Prep School. It also allows Clover students to remain within the group beyond the age of 12, continuing their studies across Globeducate’s K-12 system.
Founded in 1996 by co-directors Sandra Bosnar-Dale and Isabelle Kunicki-Stueckmann, the Clover School now has nearly 300 students across two campuses. It offers education from toddler age to 12 years, with a focus on resilience, tenacity and what the school describes as preparing “young people who are capable of making a positive impact in the world”.
Bosnar-Dale and Kunicki-Stueckmann said in a statement: “The school is incredibly special to us and we know that in order for it to continue to evolve and offer greater opportunities for our community, joining the Globeducate family will ensure we now gain access to a wealth of resources, expertise, and support to enhance teaching practices and enrich our students’ learning experiences. Globeducate’s mission, closely aligned with our own, is to prepare each student to become a global citizen who can shape the future. We are very much looking forward to becoming part of the Globeducate team.”
The school operates two sites – Midtown and High Park – both designed to support Montessori learning. Midtown, on Bathurst Street, includes a playground and urban garden. High Park is located in a tree-lined residential area, with historic buildings, green space and an outdoor classroom.
Luca Uva, chief executive of Globeducate, added: “We are delighted to welcome the Clover School to Globeducate, further strengthening our presence in Ontario, Canada and becoming our first Montessori school in the group. We are excited to collaborate with the school’s leadership and community to build on its strong foundations.
“Globeducate is committed to providing students with an outstanding education through a diverse range of national and international curricula, and we look forward to supporting the school in offering even greater opportunities within our global network.”
